The Erinvale Championship Golf course (designed by Gary Player and host to 2 SAA Opens) is on site, and about 10 other top class courses are within 30min drive. Restaurants and wine-tasting, olive groves and picnic opportunities abound and you will need to return many times to try them all! Excellent hiking trail through the indigenous fynbos on the adjoining Helderberg Nature Reserve is accessable directly from the Estate. (Picnic back-pack provided!) Good walks on the Estate.

Rates apply to 2 - 4 persons sharing the house. For 5 or 6 guests an extra R200 per day will be added to the above rates. Rates include all taxes and service twice a week.

The house is equipped to a very high standard. Luxury linen and duvets are supplied with lots of little extras (eg fluffy bath robes) to put you in the holiday mood. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for a holiday home (the owner loves to cook!) and supplied with excellent quality cookware, crockery and cutlery.
Coffee maker and blender supplied, as well as all the usual small appliances.
The patios both have tables and chairs to enjoy the sunshine and both a gas and charcoal Weber barbecues are available.

Although not specifically equipped for wheelchairs, the house is all on one level (one low step at entrance) and we have had a few guests with wheelchairs who have managed well.
The house is NOT suitable for small children and smoking is only permitted outside.
Approaching from Cape Town Airport, take the N2, direction Somerset West. Take the R44 off-ramp, direction Stellenbosch and then turn into Main Rd, Somerset West at the first traffic lights. Continue to Erinvale Estate via Lourensford Rd.
About the area
Erinvale is ideally situated for a holiday in the Western Cape Winelands. Adjacent to historical Vergelen and Lourensford Wine Estates and surrounded by magnificent scenery. Besides Erinvale Golf course, golfers have at least 8 courses to choose from within 30 min drive. Food and Wine lovers are completely spoilt for choice with almost every wine farm in the area offering tastings and meals in the most outstandingly beautiful settings. Some of the best restuarants in the Cape are to be found in and around the area and all your shopping requirements can be met at the Somerset Mall which has everything from cinemas and restuarants to household stores and boutiques. The beach at the Strand (10 Min drive) offers safe bathing and wonderful long walks. Buy the catch of the day directly from the fishermen! From June to Oct the Southern Right whales flock to False Bay to mate and calve and some ot the world's best whale-watching is right on your doorstep. For nature lovers there are great walking and hiking trails in the Helderberg Nature Reserve, accessible directly from Erinvale Estate (we even provide a back-pack picnic basket!)
