Expect to find high ceilings and exquisitely arched lead-glass windows framing what is possibly the best view of the Bay. Feast your senses on uncompromising luxury and quality - whether you’re padding on the Tasmanian Teak hardwood floors (complete with under floor heating for colder winter nights) or snuggling into 100% Percale, Hand-embroidered Egyptian bed linen. Imagine waking up in lovingly restored old-world luxury, to a breathtaking view of the Kalk Bay Harbour. Tumbling out of bed to pop across the street for freshly baked croissants from the Olympia Bakery, that well-loved Cape Town landmark. Imagine taking breakfast on your private patio or in the sunny bay window, watching the boats and bustle of the harbour and the passing parade on the quaint village streets.
Harbour Place extends over a sizable portion of the lower West wing of the original New King’s Hotel on Main Road, Kalk Bay. Inspired by the unfussy, elegant designs of the Thirties, its interior is an eclectic mix of Art Deco and modern pieces, cleverly combined to create a space where you can relax and unwind, without ever distracting from its truly special location.
Bedrooms There are two spacious bedrooms at Harbour Place. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed with bathroom and toilet en suite, the second bedroom has two single beds with shower and loo en suite. A lock-up safe and plenty of cupboard space ensures a safe and clutter-free stay. Provision has been made for two extra people on two roll-out day-beds in the spacious living area, should your party consist of more than 4.
Kitchen With plenty of restaurants within a 3km radius, you might want to side-step the kitchen altogether. But should you feel like some home cooking, the state of the art kitchen should get your creative juices flowing. Equipped with ultra-modern appliances, including a microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher, no expense has been spared to make sure your time in the kitchen feels like part of your holiday. The kitchen window has a beautiful view over the bay, and incorporates a convenient serving hatch which lets you pass those home-made goodies straight through to your lucky guests salivating on the patio.
Living The living area is an enormous free-flow space offering wonderful views all round. There is a 6-seater dining room table, a couch with comfortable chairs, a flat-screen TV with all the DSTV (satellite) channels, and a separate space with a desk, two day beds and more seating. Original South African art adorns the walls.
Patio and Deck The covered patio at Harbour Place is perfect for Al Fresco meals, and there is a gas barbecue for this purpose. There is also a small garden with loungers to catch a few rays on, and of course our very popular wooden deck, which offers the best view of the harbour and the passing parade on Kalk Bay’s streets.

About the area
Things to do in and around Kalk Bay When it comes to art, antiques, books, music and good food, you'll have to spend weeks in this little harbour village to experience everything! Plus, you'll never need to get into a car...galleries, museums, fabulous (some of them world-famous) restaurants, antique and craft shops are all within a 2km radius.
