How to get there

From the N2, turn towards the sea on Marine Drive. Go straight over the circle with the dolphin statue. Carry on down the hill where the road changes to Strand. Cross the bridge/river, go straight over the circle and pass the Beacon Isle Kwikspar on the left. Take the next road right into Longstone Drive. Turn right at the T-junction in Beachy Head Drive. Number 13 is on the right.

 

From the Airfield, head towards Plettenberg Bay. At the 3-way stop, turn right into Robberg Road. At the T-Junction stop street, turn left into Longships Drive. Then turn right into Roche Bonne Avenue. At the next T-Junction stop street, turn left into Beachy Head Drive. No. 13 is the 5th house on the left.

Beaches at Plettenberg Bay

 

Central Beach is probably the most popular beach in Plett with life guards on duty in season. Marine safaris, dive charters and ocean kayaking tours all launch from here.

 

Robberg Beach, 10 minutes from the centre of Plett, is renowned for its vast stretches of white sands, perfect for long, relaxing walks.

 

Keurbooms Beach, 10 to 15 km from the centre of Plett, is fairly wild but beautiful.

 

Robberg Nature Reserve

 

The nature reserve, with a variety of fauna and flora, and some spectaluar scenery, offers three different walks ranging from an hour to a full day. The overhanging rock structures are both interesting and fascinating. Cape fur seals, nesting seagulls, blue duiker, as well as whales in season (between July and December), can be spotted in the reserve.

 

Sporting and Leisure Activities

 

 The lagoon at Plett, and the bay itself, are perfect for a variety of watersports and activities such as boat cruises, sailing, paddling, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, dolphin and whale watching. There are several golf courses in the Plettenberg Bay vicinity, polo matches take place at the nearby Kurland and Bitou polo fields, Bunjee jumping is popular at Storms River, mountain bikers can enjoy an outing in the Tsitsikamma Forest, horse riding is available throughout the Plettenberg Bay area and walking trails such as the Otter, Dolphin and Tsitsikamma Hiking trails are extremely popular.

Plett offers a variety of dining choices ranging from beach pubs and bistros to five star cuisine and award-winning à la carte menus. There is a wide choice of cuisine including Thai, Italian, Seafood, Steaks etc.
