The Retreat is isolated from the humdrum of life, yet a stone's throw away from major attractions, superb restaurants and numerous beaches.
Bedrooms are spacious, colourfully, yet tastefully furnished with attention to detail, offering en suite bathrooms, showers and separate baths for luxuriating.
Adjoining each room are private "opening" balconies, allowing the guest to indulge in the peace and tranquillity of the forest and mountains. Scrumptious breakfasts are full and hearty, made by Ken and served in our colourful, sunny breakfast room or on the patio under the pine trees depending on the weather. We boast a warm and inviting lounge and courtesy bar, for relaxing and socialising. In winter a log fire is lit for that special ambience.
Our downstairs family room consists of 2 adjoining rooms, both double bedded with a shower and separate toilet. Stable doors lead out of each of these rooms onto a paved area and from here it is a short walk to the pool, which lies in an amphitheater created by the surrounding mountains - ideal for whiling away a leisurely day. Walk out of your door and onto the mountain slope, enjoying the surprises that each season brings.
Our ground floor unit opens onto lush green lawn, a short walk from the main Guest House and the pool. Our upstairs units sport unimpaired mountain & forest views. All self catering units have a spacious, restful yet colourful feel, with themes taken from nature. The kitchens are tastefully equipped with 4 plate hobs, microwave ovens and combined fridge & freezer units. Neat clean cut bathrooms contain glass panel showers and offer magnificent forest and mountain vistas.
Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the forest from our Koi pond or bathe in the shadows of the surrounding mountains. There are numerous outside sitting areas for sundowners, braaing, relaxing and meditation.
