Happy New Year from onelocation.com

2009 promises to be a fab year for owners of holiday accommodation in Cape Town. Why? Because onelocation finally (sheesh about time too!) opens it’s doors. We’ve seen a couple of new years come and go since we first thought of the idea but this time the champagne corks and fireworks are for real.

The OL (onelocation) team welcomed the new year from a Kommetjie rooftop. 360 degree views and for me one of the most amazing views on the planet. Being slighty over 25 years old we struggled staying awake long enough to welcome the new year but the wait was worth the while. As I was chucking another log on the makeshift wheelbarrow braai someone spotted the first firework of the night (about 5 mins to 12!). We all dropped our glasses and bundled ourselves against the balcony railings waiting for a Sydney Harbour bridge type of firework display to commence. 15 minutes later we realised that we’d already seen (and missed) the Kommetjie firework. There were a couple of flares from the sea that were welcomed with warm ahhh’s and then muted silence as we realised that someone may have picked the worst time of year to capsize their inflatable but all in all it was pretty much the same as any other night in Kommetjie … pretty darn peaceful and the perfect end (and start) to the year.

We know this is a massively busy time of year for holiday accommodation in Cape Town and Western Cape but now is also the perfect time to be looking ahead to the winter season and beyond to summer 2009 / 10. If you haven’t already registered on the site then now is the perfect time as we’ll be giving away 100 FREE annual subscriptions to the site in the next couple of weeks. So stayed tuned, bookmark the site and watch this space.

From everyone at OL HQ - Happy and prosperous 2009.
