You looked at the location, bought the house, villa or guesthouse, decorated it, bought the furniture invested in satellite TV and upgraded the swimming pool. But how many of you know you’re accommodation as well as you think you do? Have you ever stayed as a paying guest? Have you ever opened the fridge after an 11-hour flight with children to find nothing in there. Have you tried to figure out how the pool pump works so that it doesn’t come on in the middle of the night? Ever tried to use the dishwasher for the first time or have you ever had to figure out that the only way to close the patio doors from the inside is by pushing the door before you twist the handle? The only way you can see what your paying guests see is to regularly stay there yourself. Most of the time they won’t tell you what’s wrong, they’ll just give you an 80% review and never return. Why not be smart, book yourself into your holiday rental and find all it’s floors and problems then either fix them or at least point them out to the next guests who arrive expecting a trouble-free perfect holiday break.
